Prayer Support

If you have an immediate prayer request or an update, contact the church office, use the Pew Card, or use the Prayer Wall on Messiah’s Tithe.ly Church App .  The person you name is placed on Messiah’s Prayer List. Prayer Requests:  Timeliness is important, it allows us to be accurate and up to date.  We request that the person requesting prayers updates the Office or Prayer Support Team monthly about the changing conditions of the loved one.  

Messiah Office notifies the Prayer Support Team, a group of members who immediately pray, then regularly pray for our congregation, members, and the Prayer List at 5:00 pm on the second and fourth Wednesdays.  Prayer Support prays for all the types of prayers below.

Types of Prayer Requests and Sections on the Prayer List:
•    Sympathy prayer requests and member prayers are read during worship services for two weeks.
•    New Prayer List submissions remain on the Prayer List’s Prayers for Healing and Wholeness for one month, then removed.  
•    Prayer requests for non-members are listed in the Weekend Messenger
•    Members may request that persons dealing with long term situations be placed on the Prayers for Continued Healing, Strength, and Chronic Issues list.
•    Expectant and New Parents are MEMBERS we hold in prayer through the pregnancy and until the child is two years old.   
•    Upon request, a prayer will be held in confidence and not be read aloud at services.  Confidential Prayer requests remain between the Pastor, Office Administrator, and Prayer Support Team.  
•    Placing a loved one on the Prayer List gives Pastor Orin, the Office Administrator, and Prayer Support permission to pray by name, health condition, location, and for you, the member, who placed your person on the list.  We take your requests seriously and care deeply about your requests.
